Chris clearly kept me informed of my project time line, and all tile and supplies needed to do the job including any add ons. His estimate was very reasonable and his work is basically flawless! He pays great attention to detail and he is definitely a professional craftsman. I had some difficulty picking the right grout to go with my tile, and he made suggestions and gave me options and went out of his way to not only pick up the tile and grout, but to create sample boards of my tile using different colors and types of grout!!! It was extremely helpful being able to bounce ideas off of him in an effort to come to a final decision which resulted in an absolutely beautiful kitchen backsplash!!!  He never rushed me into making a decision and was very accommodating to assure I was very happy with the end result. I definitely recommend him highly and will give him a call for any projects I want done in the future.

We were very impressed with the level of detail and attention he paid to both projects. He spent considerable time perfecting both of our tile installations to ensure a high quality, professional finish. He also went out of his way to get his commercial air scrubber for the sealing process and let us borrow it so that the heavy industrial fumes did not stink up our house or impact our pets. Such a nice guy! After installation, one tile in the kitchen backsplash ended up being defective and had to be replaced. Chris got to it right away and fixed it for us. Chris was also very pleasant to work with and provided helpful guidance based on his experience working with tile. I would highly recommend Crest Tile & Mosaic for any tile needs. We loved working with Chris and will 100% be using him for all our future tile projects. No need to look for any other tile company.

Chris has done several projects for us, from laying floor tile to stacked rock accent walls and with each we have been extremely pleased with his attention to detail. My name is Chris Resti, and I have been setting tile for 10 years in the Rochester area. Installing tile is not only my profession, it is my passion.

As a journeyman tile setter, I have the experience in both commercial and residential projects. My focus is now on high-quality residential tile projects.

I am husband, father, son, and brother who enjoys spending time with my family, making things, and reading.

Industry Involvement

Staying up to date with industry standards, products, and processes is essential. That is why I joined the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) in 2022. I am also the ambassador for the NTCA in Upstate New York, advocating for industry involvement and encouraging best practices for all in the industry.

Continuing education is critical to stay ahead. That is why I attend trade shows and network with other tile professionals around the country.

Showers

The average American shower receives more water than the Amazon rainforest! They need to be waterproofed properly in order to function for its lifetime.

Floors

Floors get a lot of abuse, and ceramic tile and stone are great options for flooring,. If installed correctly, a tile floor can last over 50 years. The key to a long-lasting floor is preparation.

Backsplashes

Backsplashes are the focal point of a kitchen, and can also add a lovely design element in a bathroom. I have installed a wide variety of backsplashes, from simple shapes to complex patterns.

Fireplaces

A fireplace should not only perform well; it should make a statement. I have experience installing a variety of materials on fireplaces, which all must be treated with care

Repairs

Sometimes, a tile installation will fail–this could be a broken tile, cracked grout joints, or (worst of all) a leaking shower. I have the experience to assess the cause of the failure and repair it accordingly.
